Better Together Dog Park — 613 Culver Rd, Rochester, NY, 14609

Better Together Dog Park is one of those new, wonderful dog park and bar combos. Your dog gets to run around and play with their canine friends while you grab a brew and hang out with your human friends. And everyone gets that unique entertainment of all the crazy canines!

Better Together Dog Park is 3,000 square feet, and it’s an indoor dog park—so you don’t have to worry about the cold or bad weather. Here you’ll find canine agility equipment, plus dog toys and accessories. And they provide separate sections for small and large dogs to run and play off-leash. You can purchase a day pass or pay for a yearly membership. And don’t forget to buy yourself a brew and some tasty appetizers.

Cobb’s Hill Dog Park — 476 Norris Dr, Rochester, NY 14610

Cobb’s Hill Dog Park is located at the eastern end of Cobbs Hill Park. It’s open year-round from dawn until dusk. And this fully fenced-in, off-leash dog park provides separate sections for small and large dogs, waste stations, water stations, open lawn space for dogs to run and play, shade trees, a stone dust surface, and benches for the humans to enjoy. Ellison Dog Park — 395 Richs Dugway Rd, Rochester, NY 14625

Ellison Dog Park is a dog park located within Ellison Park. The entire park is 447 acres in size with five softball diamonds, one multi-use athletic field, pickleball, and tennis courts, a playground, and of course, an off-leash dog park. This park also has dog-friendly trails where your pup can walk with you, as long as they remain on a leash. And there’s even a sledding hill, a boat launch, and fishing spots.

The dog park is always clean and well-maintained with benches, shade trees, a pond, and waste stations. But to enjoy all of this, you’ll need to register your dog and pay a yearly fee of $24 (or $25 if you pay with credit or debit). Be sure to check the website for up-to-date info on the price.

It’s a small fee for a great benefit. Plus, you’ll get access to other local dog parks like Greece Canal Dog Park, Henrietta Dog Park at Lookup Park, Sweden Dog Park, and Pittsford Dog Park.

Greece Canal Dog Park — 241 Elmgrove Rd, Rochester, NY 14626

Greece Canal Dog Park is located within Greece Canal Park—a 577-acre park that is popular for its hiking, cross-country skiing, and bird watching. In addition to the dog park, this park has a softball diamond, tennis and pickleball courts, a soccer field, playgrounds, and even a youth camping area. At the park, you can also enjoy biking, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and snowshoeing, and they have lodges and shelters you can rent.

The dog park requires a small yearly membership fee but gets you into four other dog parks in and around Rochester: Ellison Dog Park, Henrietta Dog Park at Lookup Park, Sweden Dog Park, and Pittsford Dog Park.

Henrietta Dog Park at Lookup Park — 3850 E Henrietta Rd, Henrietta, NY 14467

Henrietta Dog Park at Lookup Park is a membership-only dog park. But its yearly fee is minimal and gets you into the four other local dog parks we’ve mentioned: Ellison Dog Park, Greece Canal Dog Park, Sweden Dog Park, and Pittsford Dog Park. This fully fenced-in, off-leash dog park has two different sections for small and large dogs to play separately.

The large dog section is 1.59 acres in size, and the small dog section is 0.72 acres. Here you’ll find canine agility equipment, benches, shade trees, water stations, waste stations, and even a washing station to spray off any dirt or mud from playtime.

Highland Park — 180 Reservoir Ave, Rochester, NY 14620

Highland Park is a popular dog-friendly park with gorgeous foliage throughout the park, as well as paved walking paths, a reservoir, a greenhouse, Woodland Garden, Poet’s Garden, carnivals and live events, the Lamberton Conservatory, an ice skating rink, a playground, athletic fields, geo-caching, and the Frederick Douglass Monument and Memorial Plaza. There is no fenced-in area for dogs, but you can walk your dog all over this park, as long as they remain on a leash.

Pittsford Dog Park — 34 East St, Pittsford, NY 14534

Pittsford Dog Park is a fully fenced-in, off-leash dog park with separate sections for small and large dogs, waste stations, picnic tables, benches, shade trees, fire hydrants, canine agility equipment, and water stations for the dogs and the humans. And there’s even a doggy wash station to clean them off before they jump back into your car at the end of the day.

This park is also located on the town’s trail system. So if you’re looking for some exercise too, you can take your dog for an on-leash hike. There is a small yearly fee to use this dog park, but it also includes access to four other fantastic local dog parks: Ellison Dog Park, Greece Canal Dog Park, Sweden Dog Park, and Henrietta Dog Park at Lookup Park.

Sweden Dog Park — 4752 Redman Rd, Brockport, NY 14420

Sweden Dog Park is located within Sweden Town Park. This dog park requires a small yearly fee but, as you may know by now, includes membership to four other local dog parks: Ellison Dog Park, Greece Canal Dog Park, Pittsford Dog Park, and Henrietta Dog Park at Lookup Park.

The park itself offers six multipurpose fields for soccer, lacrosse, football, and baseball, as well as a splash pad, disc golf, hiking trails, three playgrounds, three picnic pavilions, a fishing pond, restrooms, and town lodge, a concession stand, and of course, a dog park!

At the dog park, you’ll find plenty of grass for your dog to run around on inside of a fully fenced-in space, as well as shade trees, waste stations, and even a swimming pond for your pup to splash, and play, and swim in.
