Excited Dog Crashes Wedding Ceremony

Have you ever been so excited about something that you just forget how to act? Yeah, we’ve probably all been there at least once in our lives where it seems like our brains stop functioning for a split second and we forget ourselves.

It often happens when we’re really excited or really nervous about something – sometimes even both! I remember when I was like five, I had this dance recital I was super excited about. It was my chance to finally show off all my hard work. But then, I got up on stage and forgot all my steps.

I was too excited when it came to it that my mind went blank, I panicked when my mind went blank, and then I ended up fudging my way through the entire thing. Totally embarrassing! But it’s not just us humans who get performance anxiety. Our pets also have moments when their emotions get the better of them.

Take Colonel the Labrador Retriever for example. He got way too excited at his parents’ wedding, that he ended up making a show of it in the most hilarious manner possible.

Like many pet parents, Colonel’s family wanted him to be a part of their big day. They included him in the ceremony, giving him two very important jobs as both an honorary groomsman and ring bearer.

According to Inside Edition, Colonel’s parents went all out, even hiring a professional dog trainer prior to the wedding in order to get Colonel all trained up for his big debut down the aisle at their Portsmouth, Rhode Island nuptials.

Of course, things didn’t go as planned on the actual big day. Colonel had been kept away from his parents prior to the ceremony, so he was thoroughly excited to see them when he started his walk down the aisle. In fact, he was so excited, that all his training went out the window and instead of walking with grace and calmness, the lovable pooch charged down the aisle at full speed, knowing over the microphone stand in his wake!

It was a total disaster of an entrance, but his owner, Kate Gueno, laughed it off saying that she wouldn’t change a thing.
