There is one thing that I greatly admire about cats, and that is their ability to go to sleep where ever they please. Literally.
They’re like master contortionists with their bodies, so no surface, nook, or cranny is too high or too tiny for them to take a cat nap.
We’ve all seen internet videos of cats falling asleep in the strangest of places or curled up in positions that just look so uncomfortable.

Even my own cats throughout the years have surprised me with their choice of napping locations. I think my favorite was when my cat decided to climb into my neighbor’s car and then stretch out across the dashboard for a little midday power nap.
In one adorable twist, one sleeping cat actually ended up tumbling off their napping perch while asleep. It turns out, the little kitty must’ve been having a nightmare or something, because she was wiggling and squirming a lot in her sleep.

As her limbs started flailing about, the dreaming feline actually launched herself off the top shelf of a TV console. Luckily, the shelf wasn’t too far off the ground, so she didn’t fall far.
Based on the events of the video, we suspect that this isn’t the cat’s first time sleeping in that particular area of the house – especially since there’s a soft little blanket laid out right underneath.

It was that fluffy blanket that ended up catching a falling kitty. But the most interesting part of the video is that the cat didn’t wake up after falling off the shelf! That’s right, the cat stayed fast asleep through the whole thing.
The cat’s owner shared the following caption to her video with ViralHog, “My cat fell from a TV shelf while sleep-running, and continued sleeping on the ground without waking up.”
