The middle of summer always seems to be the hottest. It’s when temperatures are at their peak, along with humidity – depending on where you live.
Needless to say, during the height of summer, the days can be a bit miserable, especially if you’re not by the beach or a pool where you can easily cool off.
Some of us have to get creative in those cases. Even our pets. And one very smart 2-year-old white German Shepherd named Buddy has his very own system to deal with the heat.

Of course, he just needs his owner’s help with the setup and then he is good to go. As a result, this clever has come up with his own way of telling his mom exactly what he wants.
You see, Buddy lives in Whitewater, Wisconsin. In the summertime when it gets unbearably warm, his owner lets Buddy play in the sprinkler in order to cool down. It has become the dog’s favorite seasonal pastime that he never hesitates to let her know when he wants her to plug it in for him.

Sharing the hilarious video with ViralHog, his owner explained:
“In the summer, when it’s hot, he gets to play in the sprinkler twice a day to cool off. It’s his FAVORITE water toy – he has a pool, a splash pad, and dog controlled fountain, but his favorite is the regular old sprinkler.”

She then added that Buddy actually communicates his needs with her, saying, “Buddy is also a master communicator – he knows what he wants, and has no problem asking for it. Mom hadn’t gotten the sprinkler out, so he brought the sprinkler to her, and then showed her the way to the hose so she could connect it.”
People were enthralled by the entertaining video, with many people commenting on Buddy’s behavior. One person posted that it was amazing how the dog was able to clearly pick up the sprinkler and show her what he wanted. While another one expressed amazement that Buddy knew exactly where in the yard to take the sprinkler to. And a third wrote, “Here make this thing work please!!”

There were also those who went on to share their own experiences with their dogs, like the dog owner who stated, “My dog bring me socks too for tug war they are smart and cute simultaneously.”
